The NUBA company is the largest and the most solid structure for Butoh dance in France. His artistic and educational activities are known in Europe, the United States and Japan.
About Us
The company was initially founded in 1990 in Tokyo and moved to France from 1998.
Animated by a spirit of universal beauty as well as by the exchange between people of various horizons linked by their passion for Japanese dance, NUBA has already brought together thousands students in France who have worked under the direction of Juju Alishina.
Its shows have been presented in Japan, the United States, Europe, and the company has participated in numerous international festivals.

Performances
Juju Alishina has created more than 50 Butoh dance choreographies since 1982.She has presented her shows at festivals, at the theater and at private events for companies.
These numerous collaborations have given rise to solo pieces, with musicians and several dancers.

Butoh class and workshop
NUBA company organize classes and workshops in Paris, and online classes. Aimed at an adult audience of all levels, the lessons are given in French, English and Japanese.Through her teaching, Juju Alishina transmits an authentic Butoh dance, in the search for permanent development.
